Live out your ‘80s dreams with this low-mile Testarossa.
Thanks to unique styling and also its involvement in media including the television show Miami Vice, the Ferrari Testarossa is one of the more iconic vehicles of the 1980s. Surprisingly, it’s also one of the more mass-produced models Ferrari ever created, with 7,177 Testarossas produced between 1985 and 1991. If you’re looking for a low-mileage example of this Italian sports car, check out this 1987 Testarossa, which recently emerged from garage-kept storage and is in need of a new home.
Central Classic Cars in Sylvania, Ohio presents this Ferrari for sale. They claim that this example is completely original, with no signs of paintwork and only a few blemishes throughout. There’s also plenty of documentation present, including two sets of keys and service history records from Cauley Ferrari in Michigan, which was the dealership where this Testarossa was maintained.
The cabin of this example is very clean, featuring a flawless dash and door panels. Unfortunately, the driver’s seat has a few wrinkles in the leather, but the passenger seat is like new, and the color of the seats is outstanding.
A fun fact: the notorious side intakes on the Testarossa are both stylish and functional, serving as an intake for the vehicle’s side-mounted radiators. Each Testarossa used a naturally aspirated flat-12 cylinder engine, which made about 380 horsepower from the factory and could reach a top speed of 180 miles per hour. A 5-speed manual was the only gearbox available.
The seller mentions that this Ferrari does start and drive, but it should receive service before regular usage. Additionally, they note that the service is due to age and not because of mileage– this sports car has only covered 12,671 miles.
