Each of these iconic vehicles has undergone a full restoration, with custom modifications that elevate their performance and style, while preserving the classic appeal that has made the Bel Air a legend in American automotive history. Here’s a closer look at the 1955, 1957, and 1953 Bel Airs that will be crossing the auction block.
1955 Chevrolet Bel Air: A Modernized Classic
This 1955 Chevy Bel Air represents the perfect blend of vintage charm and modern performance. Resting on an Art Morrison GT Sport chassis and powered by a 6.0L GM Performance LS2 V8 engine, this vehicle has undergone extensive modifications, including a GM Performance 4L60E automatic transmission. With only break-in miles on the engine, this car is essentially brand new under the hood.
The undercarriage has been smoothed, painted, and detailed to perfection, matching the detailed customization of the engine bay, complete with one-off inner panels and a smoothed hood. The custom Porsche Brown leather interior, fitted by M&M Interiors, adds a touch of luxury to this street machine, while modern amenities such as Vintage Air conditioning and an updated audio system make it comfortable for daily cruising. The full custom leather interior features a full console and tilt column, offering style and functionality. The power canvas top, tubular control arms, four-corner adjustable coil-over shocks, and a four-link rear with a 9-inch axle provide both comfort and performance. Finished off with new 20-inch and 19-inch Billet Specialties wheels and body-colored floorboards, this ’57 Bel Air stands as a testament to the fine balance between classic design and contemporary upgrades.
