It's selling at Worldwide Auctioneers this month.
The early 1990s were a Time that most do not associate with raw automotive speed, unlike many other generations of automobiles. Indeed, it was a pretty rough time for sports car enthusiasts who wanted to go fast without losing an arm in the leg in the process. However, one country was able to rise above that and even made some cars that stand as great platforms for motorsport today. That nation was Germany and the primary leader in this charge toward performance was Porsche.
It should come as no surprise that the 9/11 Porsche's fastest model when it comes to Pure sports cars. Take this one for example built in 1994, the type 964 Speedster is a sleek and elegant white convertible that uses the best aerodynamic design of its time to cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. On top of that, sitting behind the river axle is a 3.6 l Flat 6 engine, a powerhouse iconic for its ability to do a lot with relatively low displacement. One of the more valuable things about this Powerhouse is the fact that it is air-cooled, an option that not many Porsches around the world have.
Indeed, this is a very rare automobile with only 427 cars produced and it also helps that it was optioned extremely well from the factory. Even despite being a sports car from the early 90s, it even has air conditioning and Recaro seats. Finally, the 5-speed manual transaxle makes driving both fun and engaging, essentially translating to the perfect driving experience. Overall, it's a car that saw to exemplify the sports car experience in physical form, and that's exactly what it did.
