Try finding a better Porsche collection!
On its face, Collecting Cars is an online auction platform, but behind the scenes it is run by a passionate team of car enthusiasts that strive to provide the collector car market with some of the most extraordinary European car examples. They have recently out done themselves with a no reserve collection of modern Porsche street cars.
The Leonard Collection is one of the most impressive and comprehensive collections of modern Porsche street cars. Classic models such as a 911 Carrera 2.7 RS with a history of celebrity ownership and a legendary low mileage Carrera 3.2 Club Sport fit in perfectly with other examples that many consider to be of the all-time great driver’s cars. If that wasn’t enough, the collection is also home to a delivery-mileage 964 Carrera RS and a 993 Carrera RS. A few of the rarest in the collection include a 1 of 682 996 GT3 RS, a 997 Speedster of which only 356 were produced, and one of the 250 997 Sport Classics made with the iconic ‘ducktail’ spoiler.
The rarest of all in the collection has to be this one-off specification original German-delivery Carrera GT finished in Fayence Yellow showing just over 4,000 miles. Among the last examples built, this Porsche is powered by a 604-horsepower 5.7-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. It was last serviced in 2019 by Porsche Centre Stuttgart and was imported to the UK in February 2021. The original books, the German paperwork, a copy of the original invoice, a brochure, the tool kit, and a factory-supplied car cover all accompany the car.
Although the Leonard Collection obviously favors the finest street cars the German automaker has to offer, it is also home to Ferraris, a Ford GT, and a few BMWs. Among the BMWs is this 2000 BMW Z8. Its 4.9-litre ‘S62’ naturally aspirated V8 engine and six-speed manual transmission have been well maintained throughout the last 18K-miles and the car has been upgraded with a black interior and a GTHaus exhaust system. Accompanying the car is the original handbook and service booklet, numerous invoices and photos, the original exhaust system, the factory hardtop and stand along with the roof tonneau cover, and a car cover.
Another notable car in the collection is this white 2005 FORD GT complete with the blue stripe package. For that matter, it is also equipped with every other optional feature available to the GT, including painted brake callipers, an upgraded McIntosh sound system, and the lightweight forged BBS alloy wheels. Its 575-horsepower 5.4-litre supercharged V8 engine has been expertly serviced and upgraded with a Roush pulley and an X-Pipe exhaust back box modification.
