Restored 1967 Aston Martin DB6 Vantage Heads to Auction with Provenance and Power

Rare DB6 Vantage with factory specs, $80K restoration, and rally history set for auction from Passport Collection.

A rare and meticulously restored 1967 Aston Martin DB6 Vantage is scheduled to cross the auction block Saturday as part of The Enthusiast Auction, offered by the Passport Collection.

Finished in iconic silver with a black Connolly leather interior, the classic British grand tourer blends period-correct refinement with factory-spec performance. This numbers-matching example features the sought-after Vantage specification, including a 4.0-liter inline-six engine outfitted with triple Weber carburetors, boosting output to 325 horsepower. Paired with a five-speed ZF manual transmission and four-wheel disc brakes, the DB6 Vantage was one of the most powerful Aston Martins of its era.

Originally delivered in the United Kingdom with right-hand drive, the vehicle was later imported to the United States, where it underwent a comprehensive restoration by The Pit Stop Automotive of California. The refurbishment, which totaled more than $80,000, included a conversion to left-hand drive, full interior reupholstering with Wilton wool carpeting, brake and suspension upgrades, and an EZ Electric Power Steering system to enhance drivability without compromising authenticity.

Beyond its restoration, this DB6 Vantage is a proven touring performer. It has participated in prestigious vintage road rallies, including the Copperstate 1000 and the Colorado Grand, demonstrating both reliability and road manners across long-distance drives.

With production of the DB6 Coupe limited to just 1,575 units between 1966 and 1970, examples equipped with factory Vantage specifications remain particularly desirable. Formerly owned by celebrities such as Paul McCartney and Mick Jagger, the DB6 has long been regarded as an icon of British motoring.

This particular example, offered at no reserve, presents an opportunity for collectors to acquire a rare, turn-key classic with historical pedigree and rally-proven capability.
