Rare 1969 Iso Grifo 7 Litre Series I with 427 V8 Offered On Bring A Trailer

A fully restored 1969 Iso Grifo 7 Litre Series I, featuring a 427ci Chevrolet V8, is now available for collectors worldwide.

This 1969 Iso Grifo 7 Litre Series I, one of only 90 examples built with the 427ci Chevrolet L71 V8, represents the pinnacle of Italian design and American power. Delivered new in Germany and recently restored to its original Giallo finish, this rare fastback coupe seamlessly blends engineering excellence and timeless style.

Styled by Giugiaro, the Grifo’s fastback design boasts a panoramic rear window, split grille, louvered vents, and a signature “pagoda” hood scoop to accommodate the 7-liter engine. Refinished during a meticulous restoration from 2018 to 2022, the car retains its factory-original Giallo paint and features refinished 15” Borrani wire wheels wrapped in Michelin XWX tires. Details include a bullet-style mirror, quad headlights, and pocket-style door handles.

The cabin is upholstered in pleated black leather with gray loop carpeting. Features include air conditioning (updated with a new compressor), power windows, a locking glovebox, and a wood-trimmed dashboard. Veglia Borletti instrumentation includes a 320-km/h speedometer and 7k-rpm tachometer, restored to full functionality during the refurbishment. A wood-rimmed Personal steering wheel completes the luxurious yet sporty aesthetic.

The 427ci L71 V8, producing robust power, was overhauled by Total Performance in Koblenz, Germany. Updates include block machining, crankshaft balancing, and valve work. Paired with a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential, the Grifo offers exhilarating performance. The chassis features independent front suspension, a De Dion rear axle, and four-wheel Dunlop disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear units.

This Grifo is accompanied by its original build sheet, detailing its specifications and April 1969 production date. Additional documentation includes invoices from the restoration and German registration, which serves as an ownership record.

Currently offered by a licensed dealership in Göttingen, Germany, this Iso Grifo is ready for global shipping and importation support. With its rare pedigree and extensive restoration, it’s a unique opportunity for collectors seeking an exquisite blend of Italian craftsmanship and American performance.
