Group B icons and classic racers return to Shelsley Walsh as Hagerty Hill Climb celebrates 120 years of motorsport heritage.
The legendary Shelsley Walsh hillclimb course is set to roar back to life on May 17, 2025, as Hagerty’s much-anticipated Hill Climb event returns to the world’s oldest motorsport venue still using its original track. This year’s gathering holds extra weight, marking the 120th anniversary of Shelsley Walsh, which first welcomed hillclimb competitors in 1905.
Highlighting this non-competitive celebration of speed is the return of Ralli 22, a private club that will bring an awe-inspiring lineup of rally cars. Fans can expect to see titans of Group B and WRC history in action, including the Audi Quattro, MG Metro 6R4, Ford Escort RS Cosworth, Lancia Delta, and Subaru Impreza Group N, among others. Each will take part in exhilarating demonstration runs, providing spectators with a rare opportunity to witness rally legends in motion.
For enthusiasts eager to get behind the wheel, the “Run What You Brung” option allows participants to pilot their own vehicles up the iconic hill for £150, guaranteeing three timed runs. No competition license or racing experience is required, making it an accessible entry into historic motorsport fun.
General admission is priced at just £30 per car, with spectators gaining access to diverse vantage points, paddock displays, and even a free campsite for Friday night ticket holders. For the first time, Hagerty Drivers Club members will enjoy a private hospitality area and a 25% ticket discount.
Adding to the excitement is a charity-run Scalextric competition hosted by Mission Motorsport, where guests can race for prizes and contribute to a good cause.
