If you’re looking at the picture of this Pro-Touring’67 Camaro and thinking it looks oddly familiar, you’re probably right. After all, it was restored by Advanced Auto Parts for the 2017 Restoration Tour. Not only did it make stops all over the nation, it was at several NHRA races, car shows, and festivals. With many different shops contributing to the work, this Chevy muscle car is all-around fantastic.
What you see is Cherry Red paint and House of Kolor’s Clear Coat done with perfection by Burnyzz’ Speed Shop, which will definitely cause heads to turn in droves. You’ll also note the cowl induction hood, plus there’s a Detroit Speed Electric hideaway headlight kit. The custom staggered 18-inch Foose wheels create just the right vibe without stealing the show.
Providing a healthy dose of modern power is the 6.2-liter LS3 GM crate engine. Bolted up behind is a Tremec T56 6-speed manual transmission. The engine, transmission, new brakes, and new suspension upgrades were installed by Tommy Pike Customs Garage, a process which was documented on the shop’s YouTube channel. The result is everything has been installed with extreme expertise and operates smoothly, plus it all looks exceptionally clean.
The interior has also been freshened up nicely, so it looks great. Also, a few amenities have been added, including air conditioning, TMI sport seats, and Dakota digital gauges. You can also jam out with the Retrosound factory-style radio with AM/FM and auxiliary connectivity. What really wows is the forged billet shifter with white knob.
You just don’t run into a restomod muscle car like this 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS very often. All the work has been done by some of the best in the business, plus the car is a celebrity after touring the country. Take this to any show or meet and you’ll have everyone buzzing in no time.
