A modernized 1964 Pontiac GTO restomod with LS V8 power and custom interior hits the auction block in Florida.
A modernized take on a legendary American muscle car is turning heads as it hits the auction block, merging retro styling with modern performance. A restomodded 1964 Pontiac GTO, powered by a Chevrolet LS V8 and fitted with contemporary upgrades, is being offered without reserve by The Burnyzz Collection on Hagerty Marketplace.

Recognized as the first true muscle car, the 1964 GTO launched a performance movement by placing a powerful V8 in a midsize chassis. This example carries forward that rebellious spirit with a 6.2-liter LS engine transplanted from a 2015 Camaro SS. It’s paired with a six-speed automatic transmission featuring overdrive, bringing improved drivability and efficiency to the classic platform.
The exterior remains faithful to the GTO’s original design but is enhanced with a deep burgundy finish, 18-inch US Mag wheels, and performance-grade Nitto NT555 tires. Wilwood disc brakes at all four corners improve stopping power, while long-tube headers and a dual exhaust system deliver an authoritative rumble.

Inside, the cabin has been fully customized with brown leather upholstery, a bespoke center console, and modern AutoMeter gauges. A leather-wrapped steering wheel and updated instrument cluster provide modern convenience while preserving the car’s vintage character. Climate control is assisted by an aluminum radiator and twin electric fans to keep the LS engine running cool.
Originally, Pontiac skirted General Motors’ corporate rules to bring the GTO to life—igniting an era of high-horsepower street machines. This restomod maintains that legacy with a thoroughly reengineered experience, combining classic style with present-day technology.

The vehicle is reported to be in excellent condition and is being sold with keys included. Interested bidders should be aware of sales tax requirements for Arkansas, Mississippi, and West Virginia residents. See it here.
