Hollywood legend's 1972 Ferrari 365 GTC/4 Coupe, one of 505 built, now for sale at Daniel Schmitt & Co. in St. Louis.
A rare 1972 Ferrari once owned by actor Sylvester Stallone has hit the market, with Daniel Schmitt & Co. Classic Car Gallery in St. Louis now offering the triple-black 365 GTC/4 Coupe to collectors and enthusiasts.
The Ferrari, styled by Pininfarina and powered by a front-mounted V12 engine, was one of only 505 examples produced worldwide. According to the dealership, it has just 41,603 actual miles and remains in exceptional condition, with its Nero leather interior and black exterior still appearing showroom fresh.
Originally delivered new in 1972, the car’s Hollywood pedigree began in the late 1970s when it was acquired by talent agent Michael Ovitz, co-founder of Creative Artists Agency. Ovitz, who represented A-list names like Tom Cruise, Steven Spielberg, and Madonna, sold the vehicle to Stallone in the mid-1980s. Stallone is believed to have driven the Ferrari throughout his peak “Rocky” and “Rambo” years before parting ways with it in the late 1990s.
“This is an extremely rare find and we are proud to offer this piece of Hollywood history to our clients,” said Daniel Schmitt, owner of the gallery. “It’s a motorcar that combines elegance, performance, and a remarkable celebrity provenance.”
The 365 GTC/4 is often described as one of Ferrari’s most underrated GT cars. It features power steering, power windows, air conditioning, and a full suite of instruments in miles, making it uniquely suited for U.S. buyers.
Schmitt called it a “highly desirable addition for the most sophisticated collector,” emphasizing its value potential in the rising market for 1970s-era Ferraris. The car is listed at $229,900 and is available for viewing at the dealership or online at schmitt.com.
