In 2021, DriverSource rolled out their Oktmotorfest Collection on Bring a trailer, and they are back for a repeat for 2022. The attractive collection is made-up of 20 unique European cars, showcasing the evolution of German engineering from the vintage, to the present. With live auctioning beginning on Bring a Trailer this week, bids will be accepted on the lot throughout various run through the month of October. Here are some highlights that will elevate any proper German car collection.
1969 Porsche 911E Soft-Window Targa
Originally delivered new to Competition Imports of Smithtown, New York, this attractive 1969 Porsche 911E is a soft-window Targa underwent a restoration in 2020. During the restoration, it was repainted in Cocoa Brown, and the engine, a 2.0-liter flat-six with a five-speed manual transmission, was serviced. It rolls on 15-inch Fuchs alloy wheels, and has a lot to see here.
Euro 1979 Mercedes-Benz 280E
Imported into the United States in 1984, this 1979 Mercedes-Benz 280E is finished in gray paint over blue MB-Tex interior. It is powered by a 2.8-liter inline-six engine, which is paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. It is equipped with European-market bumpers and headlights, a manual-crank sunroof, 14″ wheels with polished covers, air conditioning, and a Becker Europa II AM/FM stereo. See it here.
