Mecum’s Indy 2021 event is set to be one of the auctioneer’s best Indy auctions to date. Just as it seems the show could not get any more interesting, more information comes out about the main attractions that will be headlining the event.
One such main attraction that is now demanding attention is Gene Hetland’s Deuceheaven collection. Gene Hetland is an accomplished collector of 1932 Fords, related spare parts, and memorabilia in Northern Minnesota. His affection for the Deuce’s simple yet stunning design began when he was just a kid and his first car was in fact a 1932 Ford that would also become his first hot rod.
Since that first car many years ago, Hetland has amassed a collection of approximately 20 variants of the celebrated 1932 Ford. From an original 19K-mile Roadster to a fully restored early Ford V-8 Club Convertible Sedan B-400, his collection is truly astounding. In addition to his many early Ford cars, Hetland has also accumulated quite the collection of memorabilia and Road Art items.
The Deuceheaven collection has been recognized in the media and has even been featured in a few publications. While Hetland is the proud owner of this incredible collection, fully celebrating one of the most universally recognized antique Fords means sharing with the collector car community. Beginning on May 14, collectors and enthusiasts alike will have the opportunity to bid on Gene Hetland’s extraordinary Deuceheaven Collection. With over 300 live auction lots, this is one auction that 1932 Ford enthusiasts will not want to miss.
