Restored and upgraded Dodge Challenger from The Burnyzz Collection offered without reserve in vibrant Toxic Orange.
A strikingly customized 1973 Dodge Challenger featuring modern performance upgrades and a fresh restoration is headed to auction without reserve, offered as part of The Burnyzz Collection.
Resplendent in Toxic Orange metallic paint with a blacked-out twin-scoop hood and grille, this E-body muscle car nods to the factory Rallye appearance package while presenting an aggressively refined street presence. Dodge only produced one version of the Challenger in 1973, but this example has been taken far beyond its original configuration.
The 318-cubic-inch V8 under the hood has been rebuilt and significantly enhanced, now sporting Keith Black pistons in a .010 overbore, an Isky roller cam, Competition Cams pushrods, roller rockers, Edelbrock aluminum heads and intake, and a 650-cfm carburetor. Blackout Hooker headers complete the powertrain, all feeding into a freshly rebuilt A904 Torqueflite automatic transmission and a converted 8.75-inch Chrysler differential with floating axles, Sure Grip, and a 3.55:1 gear ratio.
The Challenger’s chassis has been modernized for drivability, with upgraded shocks, bushings, ball joints, tie rods, Hotchkis sway bars, and a five-leaf rear spring to control axle hop. Classic Mopar Rallye wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires maintain period-correct curb appeal.
Inside, the high-trim interior features bucket seats refoamed and reupholstered in black vinyl, new carpets, headliner, and dash pad, along with a tilt steering column and modernized gauges. A new AM/FM stereo and under-dash AutoMeter tachometer complete the driver-focused setup. Air conditioning, power steering, and power front disc brakes provide comfort and control.
The vehicle shows only minor scuffing on the hood vinyl and is otherwise presented in excellent restored condition. It includes a spare tire, jack, and lug wrench.
