Classic vs modern, taken to the next level.
The third generation of the Chevrolet Corvette is one of the most physically iconic courses to come out of the 1970s. This is even to the point where classic Corvette collectors argue on the regular that it might be even more visually capturing than the second generation, a difficult feat to say the least. This particular example looks as though it cuts through the air like a hot knife through butter with a perfectly maintained body, 350 cubic inch V8 engine, and a four-speed manual transmission tying it all together. Indeed, it looks like the perfect driver's car, especially when faced with an American behind the wheel.
On the other side of the aisle, there's also a 1958 example with a 283 cubic inch V8 engine, a Powerhouse that was more than capable of producing 250 horsepower and its prime. If you're one of the people who enjoy the earlier models of the Chevrolet Corvette, then both of these cars should be prime examples of what made that nameplate so iconic. This particular example is one of only 504 fuel-injected models produced in 1958 which adds a speck of Rarity to the whole equation. Of course, if you're going to be purchasing classic Corvettes then you might as well treat yourself to a newer model which provides speed, unlike any other vehicle from the factory.
An automobile credited with making Zora Arkus Duntov's mid-engine Dream Come true, the C8 Corvette combines the superior weight distribution of a European Supercar with the superior engine performance of an American V8. That Powerhouse uses 6.2 L of displacement to make a lot of power and, even though it might be a little difficult to see it first, the styling of the C8 Corvette very much resembles that of the C3 which will look spectacular having the two sit next to each other. Overall, these Corvettes could be the start of a perfect Classic Chevrolet collection which is exactly why you should consider getting behind their wheels and maintaining these incredible pieces of Automotive History.
