Ford’s F1 truck platform has been an industry standard setter since its initial creation decades ago. This F1 pickup truck is the pinnacle of what started an entire movement. Such features like a distinct front bumper, step side bed, and to top it all off the vehicle was made in 1948. However, Chevy had the last laugh with this one as it now sports a 5.3-liter V8 engine and a lot of modern pieces making this frankenstein pretty intense.
Speaking of GM, there’s also this GMC Suburban that shows exactly what an SUV was always built to be. When new age manufacturers make SUVs they seem to prioritize trunk space and utility but ignore the sport aspect. That’s certainly the opposite of this truck as it looks basically like a muscle car on a truck frame. On top of that, it has a 502 cubic inch V8 engine under the hood making the big auto very quick.
Finally, both of those trucks pale in comparison to this 1941 Chevrolet C10. Most people probably don’t know that one of America’s favorite platforms was built in the 1940s. Just like the other vehicles, this automobile has a V8 engine but this time it has 350 cubic inches of displacement. Together, these trucks are the greatest utility vehicles ever made by an American brand which is why you should add them to your collection.
