Classic Elegance: 1964 Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider Heads to Bring A Trailer

A beautifully restored 1964 Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider, with award-winning pedigree and documented history, is now available for sale.

A stunning 1964 Alfa Romeo 2600 Spider, celebrated for its refined Italian styling and smooth inline-six powerplant, is now being offered for sale. This classic roadster, originally delivered in Assisi, Italy, retains its timeless Touring of Milan coachwork and has been beautifully restored in dark blue over black leather upholstery.

First introduced in 1962 as Alfa Romeo’s flagship, the 2600 Spider was among the last models built by the legendary Touring coachbuilder. This example, factory-finished in red, was later refinished in dark blue, enhancing its sophisticated appeal. The car features integrated driving lights, a low-profile hood scoop, and classic stepped taillights, while a black soft top ensures open-air motoring remains an option in any weather.

Under the hood, the 2.6-liter DOHC inline-six boasts triple Solex carburetors and an aluminum block, producing a factory-rated 145 horsepower. A five-speed manual transmission sends power to the rear wheels, offering a true driver’s experience. A recent oil change, clutch slave cylinder rebuild, and fuel hose replacements in 2025 ensure this Alfa remains mechanically sound.

Classic 16-inch chrome wire wheels with two-eared knock-off hubs complement the car’s vintage aesthetic, wrapped in Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. Stopping power is provided by vacuum-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, with fresh brake hoses installed ahead of the sale.

Inside, the black leather cabin has been reupholstered to factory-correct specifications, featuring low-backed front bucket seats, Alfa Romeo/Touring-branded floor mats, a Blaupunkt AM/FM radio, and a Nardi wood-rimmed steering wheel. The Veglia gauge cluster includes a 240-km/h speedometer, 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary readouts for vital engine metrics. The five-digit odometer shows 66,000 kilometers (~41,000 miles), with approximately 800 kilometers added by the selling dealer.

This award-winning Alfa Romeo, which took first place in the 1946-1973 Alfa Romeo category at the 2023 San Marino Motor Classic, comes with Alfa Romeo Classiche documentation, factory books, literature, service records, and tools. It is offered with a clean Arizona title listing the car as a 1962 model.

With its stunning presentation, competition history, and meticulous maintenance, this 2600 Spider represents a rare opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
