Broad Arrow to offer rare BMW classics—including a 507, two M1s, and a Z8—during Villa d’Este weekend in Italy.
BMW’s most iconic and coveted collector cars will headline a special single-marque auction held by Broad Arrow Auctions during the famed Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este weekend this May.

Scheduled for the evening of Saturday, May 24, the exclusive BMW-only auction will serve as a centerpiece event of the two-day sale at Villa Erba. The auction celebrates BMW’s longstanding role as the host of the Concorso d’Eleganza, one of the most prestigious gatherings of vintage automobiles in the world.
Four early consignments highlight nearly 70 years of BMW history, with estimates ranging from €200,000 to over €2 million.
Leading the lineup is a 1958 BMW 507 Roadster Series II, one of just 252 examples produced and regarded as among the most collectible BMWs ever made. Powered by an alloy 3.2-liter V8 and paired with a four-speed manual transmission, the unrestored car spent nearly five decades with its original owner and is eligible for top-tier concours events worldwide. Broad Arrow expects bidding to reach between €2 million and €2.3 million.

Also crossing the block are two rare BMW M1s—an iconic mid-engine sports car co-developed with Lamborghini and built in limited numbers. One is a 1981 M1 Coupe estimated at €475,000–€575,000, while the other, a 1980 M1 modified by BMW Motorsport to road-going Procar specification, is estimated at €450,000–€550,000. Both come with BMW Group Classic documentation and matching-numbers engines.
Rounding out the quartet is a 2000 BMW Z8, the modern spiritual successor to the 507. Finished in Titanium Silver over a red-and-black interior, this example has just over 23,000 kilometers and is offered without reserve.
Bidder registration for the event is opening soon, with in-person, phone, absentee, and internet bidding options available.
