This 1976 Porsche 911S coupe has been transformed into a striking restomod with backdated styling and modern performance enhancements. Now finished in vibrant Signal Orange with black Porsche side stripe graphics, it is part of The Arizona Car Week Collection and offered on dealer consignment.
Under prior ownership, this 911 underwent a comprehensive backdating process. Steel fender flares, a longhood conversion, fiberglass bumpers, and molded 911R-style taillights give it the iconic look of early Porsche models. Additional touches include a custom louvered decklid, H4 headlights, and 1968-style front turn signals. The bodywork was refreshed in 2018 and the front cowl repaired in 2020, completing the exterior’s vintage transformation.
The performance upgrades are equally impressive. The 3.4L flat-six engine, rebuilt by Patrick Motorsports in 2018, features Mahle pistons and cylinders, high-swirl heads, and a Motronic fuel injection system remapped with a Steve Wong chip. A stainless-steel Dansk muffler and headers complete the custom exhaust. Paired with a rebuilt 915 five-speed manual transaxle, the setup delivers spirited driving.
Chassis improvements include KW suspension components, Turbo tie rods, and a bump steer kit. Stopping power comes from 964 brake calipers over drilled rotors, and the car rides on forged 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires.
Inside, modern comfort meets classic style. Power-adjustable Recaro Orthoped seats with orange accents, RS-style door panels, and lightweight carpeting adorn the cabin. A Porsche Classic Communications Management system with updated air conditioning ensures comfort, while a MOMO steering wheel and Wevo shifter enhance the driving experience.
