This restored classic packs a punch.
In 1957, Chevrolet produced this wonderful White two-door hardtop Chevrolet Bel Air which stunned the luxury American Automobile Market and likely provided somebody a lot of fun back in the day. Nowadays, the odometer may only read 3,000 miles but you can tell that the vehicle hasn't only been pushed away in storage its entire life. Rather, a lot went into maintaining the car over its life and now it's ready to enter a new chapter full of Automotive fun. But what makes it so ready, willing, and able to do so?
First of all, you can't ignore the 350 cubics in the V8 engine under the hood which certainly does allow for a great driving experience, even if you don't plan on operating it all that often. This is not the factory engine but rather was given to the car in hopes of preserving drivability. Connected to that is a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission, yet another one of the car's best mechanical attributes, at least as it pertains to the drivetrain. Classics like this we're always meant to drive which is exactly why this one is ready to do that at any time.
A couple of features that you don't normally see on older cars like this include air conditioning and power windows. These would have been pretty highly sought after in their prime even if we tend to overlook such features in modern cars. One thing that is sure to make the car sound great is the dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and you might even get the idea that that isn't the only work done to it. An MSD electronic ignition system, Edelbrock Pro Flo EFI system, and power four-wheel disc brakes make the car stand out in terms of performance. Overall, this car is a great example of classy vintage restoration and with luck, you'll be zipping around town with your power steering guiding this Bel Air in no time.
