1972 Camaro Restomod Packs Modern LS3 Power and Classic Muscle Car Style

Hugger Orange restomod Camaro features LS3 V8, six-speed manual, upgraded suspension and a 12-year rotisserie restoration.

A 1972 Chevrolet Camaro restomod with classic lines and modern performance is crossing the auction block without reserve, offering collectors the chance to own a no-compromises muscle car that took more than a decade to perfect.

Offered from The Burnyzz Collection, this second-generation Camaro underwent a full 12-year rotisserie restoration beginning in 2006 and completed in 2018. Originally a dark blue rolling chassis purchased in Michigan for $5,000, the car was transformed bolt by bolt into a high-performance showstopper finished in eye-popping Hugger Orange with white racing stripes.

Under the hood lies a cammed 6.2-liter LS3 V8 crate engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission, delivering both raw power and modern reliability. A GM 10-bolt rear end with positraction puts the power down, while a full suite of suspension upgrades ensures it corners and stops as well as it accelerates.

Those upgrades include a Heidt’s four-link rear suspension, adjustable coilovers, tubular control arms, subframe connectors, heavy-duty sway bars, and Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. The Camaro rides on 17-inch Coys five-spoke wheels wrapped in Toyo Proxes tires.

Inside, the cabin blends race-ready function with premium comfort. C6 Corvette leather bucket seats with custom orange stitching match the detailed dashboard and door panels. Dakota Digital gauges, a Hurst shifter, Vintage Air A/C, Retrosound Bluetooth stereo, and power amenities round out the interior experience.

“The build started from humble beginnings,” said the consignor. “But after 12 years, no bolt was left untouched, and no expense was spared.”

Included with the sale are the keys and a fully illustrated build book chronicling the transformation. This Camaro not only retains the aggressive styling that defined the early 1970s but now offers the performance to match—with no compromises. See it here.
