These are some of the best of the rising segment.
When you think of classic car auctions, do you think of there being a huge off-road presence? If the last two years are any indicator of how the floors of collector auction houses look, then yes, you should expect them to start taking more real estate at auctions. At the 2021 November GAA Classic Cars auction, officially kicking off today and running through the end of the day Saturday, we've scoped some of the coolest off-roaders on the market. Here are some of the highlights.
2019 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Smokey Mountain
If you don't think we'd take this fully loaded 4x4 beast off-road because of its show car looks, you'd be very wrong! Coming with a soft top and hard top, this beast is built to handle it all. It sports Poison Spyder Bumpers & Body Armor with Matching Poison Spyder Wheels. Its snappy with 4:56 gearing, rolls on a 5.5-inch Rubicon Express lift with flex control arms, gets illumination from custom LEDs, and is powered by a 3.6-liter engine with automatic transmission.
In addition to the other aggressive add-ons, it also has Poison Spyder inner fenders and a custom Hard Rock hood. You can see it here if you missed it at the event.
2021 Ford Bronco
Sorry C8 Corvette, but the Ford Bronco has been the most anticipated release of the 2020s so far. This example is basically a new car with only 85 miles on the clock, and comes with the Black Diamond package. It is, of course, 4WD, and is hooked up with the towing package and fully loaded with options. This is a special order unit, built at the Michigan plant, so it's an easy choice for future collectible. See it here.
1994 Land Rover Defender
As a 4WD crew cab pickup, what else could you possible ask for out of an off-roader? How about increased collectibility due to the fact that its a left hand drive unit? This 5-speed manual has a lot of upgrades throughout to sweeten the deal. See it here.
Which one of these off-roaders would you bid on?
