Carroll Shelby's Cobra is one of the most iconic cars of all time. Getting your hands on a real one will cost you big money. That's probably why kit-built Cobras are so popular. There are perhaps dozens of different kit manufacturers, but a few stand head and shoulders above the rest. Factory Five is one of those companies. Factory Five Cobra replicas take full advantage of the advances in technology that have happened since the 1960s, and the end result is a car that looks and feels like a real Cobra, but is better in nearly every way.
Powering this car is a 427 Stroker Windsor, 286 HR Comp Cam, 400 offset turned crankshaft, Stroker Kit by SpeedMotive, CA. Forged Aluminum JE Pistons, magnum steel roller rockers by comp cam, H-Beam rods, aluminum Victor Jr. Intake, Aluminum Victor Jr heads, High capacity canton oil pan with oil cooler, Fidanza aluminum fly wheel, MSD Gal ignition/street ProBillet Distributor and blaster coil. Equipped with a 750 Edelbrock 4bbl carburetor but includes a Barry Grant 750 CFM Speed Demon Carburetor (rebuilt in 2018).
It was custom built with 4 in tubular frame, Aircraft aluminum cockpit and chassis, fiberglass body, 4-wheel disc brakes with ProShocks, Thunderbird 8.8 rear-end with 327 gear ratio, TREMEC 3550 5-speed with King Cobra Clutch, 17 in PS engineering Halibrand wheels.
