A rust-free 1995 GMC Sierra Z71 and a low-mile 1990 Chevy 454 SS headline this year’s spotlight truck segment.
Two standout pickups will roll across the block during Carlisle Auctions’ highly anticipated Truck Hour, drawing eyes with both rarity and meticulous care. Among the offerings are a fully restored 1995 GMC Sierra Z71 Stepside and a low-mile 1990 Chevrolet Silverado 454 SS—two black-and-maroon classics that represent the golden age of GM trucks.
Lot #225: 1995 GMC Sierra Z71 Stepside

Finished in a fresh Glasurit base/clear black paint over a maroon interior, this rust-free Sierra comes from outside the salt-ridden East Coast, ensuring its underpinnings remain clean. With 30 years of age, the seller took a proactive, no-expense-spared approach to replace potential problem areas. Virtually every wear item has been replaced, including the water pump, radiator, belts, hoses, fan clutch, sensors, window motor, fuel pump and sending unit. A new distributor, A/C compressor, headlights, taillights, battery, and even a new windshield round out the list. A cowl hood completes the aggressive look. Receipts document the extensive work performed.
The truck, featuring the desirable Stepside bed and automatic transmission mated to a V8 engine, has been meticulously refreshed to ensure it not only looks the part but performs reliably for years to come.
Lot #224: 1990 Chevrolet Silverado 454 SS

An increasingly sought-after collector piece, this 454 SS boasts just 9,621 original miles and remains highly original throughout. One of only approximately 13,000 built in its inaugural year, this black-on-maroon muscle truck features the original 7.4L big-block V8 paired with an automatic transmission. With its factory appearance intact and extremely low mileage, this 454 SS represents a rare opportunity for collectors to secure a true survivor.
Both trucks are set to cross the block back-to-back, offering bidders a chance to take home a slice of 1990s truck history—either restored or preserved.
