Don't miss the opportunity to own this meticulously restored 1972 Chevrolet C20 Suburban.
This beautifully restored 1972 Chevrolet C20 Suburban is now available on Bring a Trailer, offering a rare chance to own a piece of American automotive history. Originally sold at Newman Chevrolet in Garland, TX, this Suburban has been meticulously refurbished under prior ownership before being acquired by the current seller in May 2022.
Finished in a striking yellow with white upper and lower portions, the exterior of this Suburban features chrome bumpers, vent windows, dual side mirrors, rear barn doors, and bright trim. While the body and paint are in excellent condition, minor blemishes and a repaired windshield chip are noted. The white-finished steel wheels, adorned with bright center caps, are fitted with BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, ensuring a rugged yet stylish look. The truck boasts power steering and power-assisted front disc brakes for enhanced driving ease and safety.
The interior showcases three rows of bench seats trimmed in black vinyl with patterned cloth inserts, complemented by a color-coordinated dashboard pad and door panels. Although there are minor tears in the seat covers, the overall interior condition is well-preserved. Modern conveniences include Vintage Air climate control, cruise control, a digital stereo, and lap belts. The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a body-color steel dash housing a 100-mph speedometer, tachometer, and auxiliary gauges, though the speedometer needle is broken. The five-digit odometer shows 6k miles, with less than 4k added by the seller, but the true mileage remains unknown.
Under the hood, the 350ci V8 engine, rebuilt in 1991, features a four-barrel carburetor, an HEI distributor, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission, with an aftermarket dual exhaust system enhancing performance. Some corrosion is noted on the underbody components, typical for a vehicle of this age.
Included in the sale are the Protect-O-Plate, warranty information, dealer brochures, and other GM publications, providing a comprehensive historical record of this classic Suburban.
